Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training: Frequently Asked Questions

Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training: Frequently Asked Questions
  • Can I earn recertification credit for this course?
    • Once a person has successfully completed the PSA Grower Training course once, they meet the requirement of the FSMA Produce Safety Rule 112.22(c) stating that “At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.” There is no regulatory requirement for refresher training, though we recommend training since it can be useful, especially if a person’s recollection of the requirements and how to satisfy them have faded.
  • Can I earn credit or Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from this course?
    • This course is not for credit, and it does not qualify for Continuing Education Units at this time though we have not pre-arranged for any CEU, we would be happy to provide the relevant information if you apply for CEUs through your organization.
  • How is the Grower Training course delivered?
