Why am I seeing different grading types on my transcript?

Monique Staats Updated by Monique Staats

You will begin to see a numerical grade on your transcript rather than the Complete/Incomplete structure that eCornell has used in the past. We are happy to report that the eCornell team has been hard at work making these updates to better align with your requests and needs!

A numerical grade for eCornell courses now allows you to have a clear sense of the final grade you received in your enrolled program. After hearing from you, our customers, this enhancement will make it easier for you to leverage tuition assistance from your employer by being able to demonstrate a passing grade. To complete your course successfully, a passing grade of 85% or greater is required. Having easy access to your feedback through the Grade area in Canvas will allow you to work more closely with your facilitator to ensure you are grasping core concepts.

Should you have any need to receive a letter reflecting the numerical equivalent grade to prior Compete/Incomplete courses, please do not hesitate to contact our Student Support Team at ec_helpdesk@cornell.edu
