Course Access After The End Of Instruction

Monique Staats Updated by Monique Staats

How long will I be able to access the course once it ends?

Once the course instructional period comes to an end, you have one additional week to access the course content from your Canvas Dashboard. This will give you an opportunity to download and save any files you may want to keep, print the course content, or do a final review of the course discussion boards, etc. During this period, assignments may only be submitted with an approved extension.

Seven days after a course ends, it is removed from your Dashboard and moved to your Archive in Canvas, but you do still have access for at least one year. To access your archived courses, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Canvas account.
  2. At the top right, click the notebook Courses icon, select All Courses link.
  3. Click the title of the desired course.

Please note that while you will be able to access the archived course to view content, the facilitator will no longer be active and your assignment submissions can no longer be edited.

* Plant-Based Nutrition students have an extended access period of six months, per the Center for Nutrition Studies. Details are outlined within the course materials - please reference the last "Module Wrap-up" of each course, and the "Now that you have finished" pages.

Policy related to course content access is subject to change at any time without notice.
Can I have a printable version of my course?
Yes, each course includes a course transcript. Learn how to locate and download it here.
