Course Content Not Loading - Troubleshooting

Monique Staats Updated by Monique Staats

Several reasons may cause course content to not properly load. Please follow these troubleshooting recommendations:
  • If you are connected via VPN or using a work-issued device, please try connecting without VPN and on a personal device. Oftentimes, we see issues where courses/videos/content do not download or upload due to the security policies on a work computer or network. A quick test is to try accessing your course on your cell phone, disconnected from Wi-Fi.
If you are using a computer provided by your employer to access the course, you may want to elicit assistance from your IT Department.
  • Make sure that your browser is up-to-date.
  • Try switching browsers to see if the problem persists. Preferred browsers, in order, are Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
    • Note: Edge will not work for our coding courses. Additionally, Firefox on Windows is currently not supported for Python Programming.
  • Clear your cache, and set the time range to All Time. Here is information on how to clear your cache.
  • Check to see if you have any extensions or software that may be blocking our content.
    • Duck Duck Go users will not be able to engage with our courses or receive notifications.
  • Do not use the Canvas App, as it is incompatible with our courses and does not support our video embedding.
  • Most of our course videos are hosted by Kaltura. You can check to see if there is an outage here: status.kaltura.com
  • Ensure you are using a device that meets our Technical Requirements. These requirements are listed here: Technical Requirements.
