Guild Student Attestation
Updated
by Sarah Hair
In order to enroll in an eCornell program, students must read and agree to the following attestation. All agreements are submitted by the student prior to selecting start dates during the registration process.
Guild Student Attestation
Your success starts with choosing the right program for you. To make sure this program aligns with your goals, experience, and learning style, please read the information below carefully. Understanding what to expect will help you make the most of your learning journey. Once you've reviewed everything, confirm your understanding before moving forward with enrollment.
Program Schedule
Each course in the program has defined start and end dates. Courses typically span 2 or 3 weeks, beginning on a Wednesday and concluding at midnight on the Tuesday of the final week (EST). You will have the flexibility to complete coursework at your own pace, fitting it into your schedule. While you will need to select a start date for each course, you also have the option to reschedule to a different start date, provided the change is made prior to the course’s start.
Learning Experience
- All courses are fully online and self-paced during the run time. You will study the course materials and complete the assignments independently. All assignments must be submitted before the course concludes.
- An expert facilitator will guide you through your course experience, helping you connect the dots between what you are learning and how to apply it in your work. They will also host weekly live sessions, which are available to support your learning, though participation is not required to complete the course. Please note that these live sessions will not be recorded for privacy reasons.
- You will also be connected with a cohort of approximately 35 peers, exchanging ideas and building lasting professional connections.
Commitment
The estimated time commitment for each course can vary between 10 to 20 hours depending on the course content. Required assignments may include, but are not limited to, discussion boards, quizzes, activities, and a multi-part course project. At the beginning of each course, please review your syllabus carefully to understand the specific requirements and deadlines for all assignments.
Prior to beginning your first course, we suggest reviewing the program overview and course details pages on our website to confirm that course topics still align with your intended learning goals. If the topics explored are no longer a good fit, you may follow the withdrawal process outlined below.
Drop Policy
To request a withdrawal from your program, you must contact our Student Support team and submit your request via helpdesk@ecornell.cornell.edu. Approval for withdrawal is determined based on your registration month:
- Within your registration month*:
- Approval for a full withdrawal will only be approved if your request is received by 5pm EST on Day 3 of your first course (the first Friday after the course starts) and within your registration month. Your employer will not be invoiced for the dropped registration.
- If your request is received after 5pm EST on Day 3 of your first course (the first Friday after the course starts), your employer has already been invoiced for your registration, and your drop request will be denied.
- After your registration month:
- Once your registration month has ended, your withdrawal request will be denied, as your employer has already been invoiced for your registration. Future eCornell courses can be removed from your account, but once removed, you will not be able to access them. You will need to contact Guild to discuss your benefits and future eligibility.
*Your registration month is the calendar month when you first enrolled in the program. For example, if you registered on April 17, your registration month ends on April 30.
If you no longer wish to register for this program, simply close this tab. If the reason is that the program doesn’t feel like the right fit, we recommend reaching out to Guild. They can help you explore alternative programs that may better align with your goals and background.
